The idea
behind the Tom Henry RS project is simple:
modify a fourth generation Camaro powered by
the 3800 Series II V6 to the point that some
of its performance characteristics will
mimic those of the 2010 V6 Camaro.
The 2010
Sport Coupe is rumored to be coming with a
port fuel-injected version of GM's 3.6-liter
"high-feature" V6 which makes about 270
horsepower. Our project car build-up will
modify the 4th gen car's 3.8 liter V6 to
that level and then some. In addition we're
doing some performance enhancement to the
car's suspension and brakes to improve the
car's handling and stopping to the point
they may approach what we'll see from the
5th car.
The Tom
Henry RS project--the name comes from the
famed, Tom Henry SS Camaros the Bakerstown,
PA Chevy dealer sold in 2001 and 2002--is
based on an earlier build-up which appeared
during 2006 in Camaro Performers magazine.
The project series has been renamed,
rewritten, expanded, enhanced with more
photos and posted here on the Camaro
Homepage.
We hope you
enjoy it. |
